WHO WE ARE
A US telehealth company offering physician-supervised weight-loss and wellness care. We publish one patient-education article every week and pitch the topics to journalists.
WHAT WE NEED
A US-licensed physician who writes our weekly patient-education article under their own name and serves as our quoted medical expert for press. We give you an AI-assisted first draft to save you time; you make it accurate, useful and yours.
HOW EACH WEEK WORKS
1. Monday: we send you the week's topic, target keyword and an AI-assisted first draft.
2. By Wednesday: you rewrite and edit it into a finished article (about 1,200-1,800 words): plain-English, clinically accurate, with 3+ reputable sources cited (peer-reviewed studies, CDC, NIH, major medical centers). Remove anything you would not put your name to.
3. You provide 3-5 short quotable lines on the topic for our press outreach.
4. Occasionally: short written or phone answers to journalist questions on topics in your expertise (paid separately, always optional).
5. It publishes as "Written and medically reviewed by Dr. [you], [MD/DO]", with a note that it was drafted with AI assistance.
RULES
- You have final say on medical accuracy. Nothing is published or quoted in your name without your approval.
- Patient education, not sales copy. No product, medication or pricing promotion in your articles or quotes.
- Original work only; we run plagiarism checks.
- You are presented as an author and medical expert, not as any patient's treating provider.
REQUIREMENTS
- Active, unrestricted US medical license (MD or DO), verifiable online. Board certification in internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinology or obesity medicine preferred.
- Strong plain-English writing. Prior published health writing or media interviews a plus.
- Comfortable with a public byline, headshot and bio.
BYLINE, PHOTO AND BIO
Your name, credentials, headshot, short bio and license state will appear on each article and on an author page, with a link to your professional profile. The contract includes a license for us to display these on the articles you wrote for as long as they stay published. You approve your bio before it goes live and can ask us to update it at any time.
PAY
- Fixed price per finished article, including the quotable lines (quote your rate).
- Separate rate for journalist Q&A / interviews (quote your rate).
- Paid trial article before we start. Ongoing weekly work if it's a fit.
