Role Overview
We are looking for a Shopify Developer / E-commerce Specialist responsible for building, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing Shopify stores. The role will work across store setup, theme customization, app integrations, troubleshooting, product setup, and website performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shopify Store Development & Redesign
Set up and configure new Shopify stores based on business requirements.
Redesign and enhance existing Shopify stores to improve functionality and user experience.
Configure Shopify themes, navigation, pages, menus, checkout settings, and store features.
Implement custom Shopify solutions where standard platform capabilities are insufficient.
2. Theme Customization
Customize Shopify themes to meet brand, design, and business requirements.
Develop custom pages, sections, forms, and storefront components.
Ensure responsive and consistent experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and Shopify theme architecture.
3. Custom Apps & Integrations
Develop or implement custom Shopify apps and functionalities.
Integrate Shopify with third-party applications and external business systems.
Work with APIs and webhooks to enable data exchange between Shopify and other platforms.
Troubleshoot and maintain existing integrations.
4. Product & Collection Management
Set up and configure products, variants, collections, pricing, images, descriptions, and inventory-related information.
Configure custom product options, subscriptions, gift cards, and related Shopify functionalities.
Ensure product and collection structures are optimized for customer navigation and discoverability.
5. Troubleshooting & Support
Identify and resolve Shopify store errors, functional issues, integration failures, and performance problems.
Investigate issues across themes, apps, APIs, and third-party integrations.
Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance.
Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring technical issues.
6. Website Audit & Optimization
Conduct Shopify website audits covering functionality, performance, UX, SEO, and technical configuration.
Identify opportunities to improve site speed, conversion, usability, and overall customer experience.
Recommend and implement optimization initiatives based on audit findings.
Monitor website performance and resolve identified issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience in Shopify store development and customization.
Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Shopify themes and custom theme development.
Experience developing or integrating Shopify apps and APIs.
Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party system integrations.
Experience with Shopify product, collection, and catalog management.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of e-commerce UX, website performance, and conversion optimization.
Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with Git/version control and software development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Shopify Plus.
Experience with headless commerce or modern e-commerce architectures.
Knowledge of SEO and e-commerce analytics.
Experience integrating payment gateways, ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, or other enterprise platforms.
Understanding of web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
