Minimalist Composer Logo Design

I need a clean, typography-only logo that reads “Bernard Hughes Music”. A balanced, sans-serif treatment is essential: “Bernard Hughes” on the first line, “Music” directly beneath, with equal emphasis on both lines. I would also like a companion version that simply states “Bernard Hughes”.

The mark has to feel restrained, classy and minimalist, yet still catch the eye when printed on choral scores, displayed on my website, or stamped onto merchandise. One solid colour against a white or transparent background ideally - I’m leaning toward black but I’m open to your colour suggestion if you feel another single tone will enhance the design.

It will need to be legible and clear at very small sizes, please pay attention to the negative-space balance between the two lines, and how the logo will translate across print and digital formats. The tone should be professional, classy, clear and unpretentious.

I am attaching a logo for a composer friend to give an example of the kind of thing I am looking for.

Deliverables:
• Vector master files (AI or SVG) plus high-resolution transparent PNG.
• The full two-line lock-up and the shorter name-only variant.
• A short style note listing typeface name and exact colour values.
