Amazon KDP Manuscript Formatting

I have a 300-page manuscript in Word that now needs to become two flawless files—one for KDP paperback, one for Kindle e-book—ready to pass Amazon’s automatic and human checks on the first try.

Here’s what I still need done:

• Build a clean, clickable table of contents. Front-matter pages (through the introduction) must show Roman numerals i, ii, iii… then switch to Arabic 1, 2, 3 at Chapter 1.
• Set up running heads: book title on every left-hand page, current chapter title on every right-hand page.
• Lay out several embedded images so they print at 300 dpi and convert gracefully to the re-flowable Kindle edition.
• Create a fully cross-linked index from the citation list I will supply.
• Keep my existing footnotes intact and properly linked.
• Deliver within seven days:

– Print-ready interior PDF that meets KDP bleed, margin, and font-embedding rules
– Re-flowable Kindle file (ePub or KF8) that passes Kindle Previewer with no errors
– Source files returned with clean, organized styles

I’ll provide the Word manuscript, image files, and the citation list the moment we start. Please stick to Amazon’s current formatting guidelines—no separate style guide from me—so final upload is smooth and approved without revision requests.

If you routinely prepare both paperback interiors and Kindle versions on KDP and can commit to the seven-day turnaround, I’m eager to get this moving.
