LocalFix Customer & Provider Functionality Build

I have the core LocalFix platform running on the MERN stack; what I still need is the role-specific layer that lets real users start transacting.

For this phase I only care about two roles—Customer and Service Provider—and about giving each of them just the abilities checked below. Everything else (search, category browsing, admin dashboard, etc.) already lives in the codebase.

Deliverables I need from you
• Customer role
– Auth protected area where a logged-in customer can submit a booking request for any service listing.
• Service Provider role
– Editable profile page (bio, skills, pricing, availability).
– Booking inbox showing pending requests with Accept / Decline actions that update status in MongoDB and trigger email or in-app notifications (SendGrid or Nodemailer is fine).
– Read-only view of aggregate ratings and individual reviews left on completed jobs.

Tech & integration notes
• Front end: React 18 with functional components and Context/Redux where you see fit.
• Back end: Node + Express REST API; Mongoose models already scaffolded—extend or refactor if needed.
• Please keep code clean, typed (TypeScript preferred but not mandatory), and covered by basic unit tests (Jest).

Acceptance criteria
1. Role-based routes protected with JWT.
2. Booking workflow completes end-to-end and persists correctly.
3. Provider actions instantly reflect in customer dashboard via WebSocket or polling.
4. PR passes linting and all tests.

Once merged I will test on a staging subdomain; if everything above works as described, the milestone is approved.
