LED Waterfall Salmon Pixel Display

I’m building a large holiday light show and want one eye-catching feature: a flowing waterfall made of addressable LEDs where Kokanee salmon “jump” upstream at random intervals. I picture something in the middle ground—more dynamic than a minimalist outline, but not so intricate that it becomes impossible to wire or maintain. Most of the palette should stay in cool blues and greens so the water feels alive, while the salmon stand out with a contrasting hue only when they appear.

What I need most is the xLights programming that brings this scene to life, plus guidance during physical setup so the finished piece looks and behaves exactly as it does in the sequence file. If onsite help isn’t feasible, detailed remote instructions or a live video walk-through would work too.

Deliverables
• xLights sequence file(s) showing a continuous waterfall effect with randomly timed salmon jumps

Acceptance criteria

• Salmon appearances feel random and occur at varied heights, never overlapping unnaturally
• Sequence runs on my hardware without flicker or frame drops at full brightness
