The iOS Reverse Engineer position is focused on supporting and improving iOS-based virtual devices running on our proprietary hypervisor. This includes adapting Corellium software for new Apple devices and iOS releases, as well as developing virtual peripherals and internal tools.
Responsibilities:
Reverse engineer, debug, develop, and test virtual iOS devices
Work with closed-source peripherals and drivers
Design, implement, and maintain high-quality, reliable software
Optimize code for resource utilization, reliability, performance, and energy efficiency
Architect and design new software components
Write and execute test cases based on established templates and best practices
Ensure the latest iOS versions are ported to and supported on our hypervisor
Collaborate with the hardware modeling team to ensure iOS-related hypervisor components function correctly
Develop and maintain automated test infrastructure and regression test suites
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering teams, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and roadmap priorities
Evaluate and validate embedded design alternatives to develop optimal system architectures
Work closely with the QA team to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely resolution of firmware defects
Develop scalable solutions that meet performance requirements and customer needs
Contribute to technical documentation and internal engineering documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Deep understanding of iOS architecture, system frameworks, and services
Strong iOS reverse engineering skills
Solid knowledge of the ARMv8 (AArch64) instruction set architecture
Proficiency in C and Objective-C (experience with Swift and C++ is a plus)
Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Binary Ninja
Expertise in iOS debugging techniques, including crash report and kernel panic analysis
Familiarity with the iOS SDK, IPC, and IOKit (experience with tweak development is a plus)
Experience using LLDB, GDB, and Frida
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Shell or Python)
Experience with Git for source code version control
