Illustrator for Humorous Children's Book

Children’s Book Illustrator Needed – Humorous Middle-Grade Book Series
I am looking for a professional illustrator/graphic artist to illustrate the first book in an original humorous children’s book series called Carlo Cat: A Genius in Trouble, written for approximately 8–12-year-old readers.
The manuscript is completely finished. The story, characters, dialogue, and illustration placements have already been determined. I am therefore not looking for a writer or someone to change the story. I need an illustrator who can develop a distinctive visual identity for the series and consistently illustrate the characters throughout the entire book.
THE VISUAL STYLE
The interior illustrations should be primarily black-and-white / grayscale, with a detailed hand-drawn ink/cartoon appearance.
I want the artwork to feel:
- funny and expressive
- polished enough for professional publication
- detailed without becoming overly realistic
- appropriate for readers aged roughly 8–12
- full of facial expressions and visual comedy
- warm and character-driven
- consistent from beginning to end
The book is a hybrid of prose and illustrations, rather than a traditional full-page picture book.
Illustrations will generally appear underneath the relevant passages of text and should normally be relatively compact so that they complement the writing rather than dominate every page. Some important scenes may receive larger illustrations.
