France Cycling Map

Hello,

My wife and I are producing a YouTube series about our 2026 cycling journey across France, from Pornic to Basel, Switzerland.

I am looking for someone to create a professionally illustrated map of the journey. I have attached an AI-generated example showing the general visual style I like. The problem with the example is that some of the towns are not geographically accurate, which is something I need to avoid in the final version.

The finished map needs to combine:

Accurate geographic/cartographic positioning
An attractive illustrated/travel-map appearance
Our complete Pornic → Basel cycling route
All of our overnight towns
Paris as a reference point
Relevant rivers, coastline, mountains and geographical features
16:9 landscape format suitable for YouTube and Final Cut Pro
Progressive map for the YouTube episodes

The map will be used throughout approximately 10 episodes.

I want the complete route to remain visible, with:

WHITE = journey still to come
GREEN = journey covered in the current episode
RED = journey covered in previous episodes

For example, Episode 1 would show Pornic → Saint-Brevin-les-Pins in green, with the remainder of the route in white.

Episode 2 would show the first section in red, Saint-Brevin → Nantes in green, and the remainder in white.

The exact episode boundaries won't be known in advance, so the route needs to be constructed as individually editable sections between each town, rather than as predefined episode sections.

I would therefore like a fully editable master map from which I can produce the appropriate version as each YouTube episode is completed.

Geographic accuracy is particularly important. I don't have a GPX file, but I can provide the complete sequence of towns/stops. I would expect the locations to be plotted using reliable geographic/cartographic data.

Your recommended approach
Estimated cost
Estimated timeframe
What editable file format you would provide
Whether the route sections could be edited by someone who is not an experienced graphic designer

Before commissioning the complete map, I would also like to discuss creating a small sample section to confirm both the geographic accuracy and the visual style.
