I need an RPEQ-qualified engineer to prepare compliant structural drawings and issue a Form 15 for my new frameless glass pool fence. The fence will use standard 12 mm toughened panels held by small floor clamps that sit on balcony tiles laid over compressed fibre-cement sheet.
The drawings must show clamp spacing, edge distances, fixing type and embedment suitable for this substrate, as well as wind-load and balustrade load calculations in line with the National Construction Code, AS 1288 and AS 1170.1. My certifier will lodge the Form 15, so please make sure your details match their submission requirements.
Deliverables on completion:
• PDF engineering drawings ready for council submission
• Signed Form 15 design certificate in PDF
A quick turnaround is ideal because installation is scheduled as soon as the paperwork is approved. Let me know your estimated timeframe once you review the brief and I’ll supply panel layout, dimensions and any photos you need.
Below is the sketch up we’ve had confirmed all ok with certifier.
Yellow – aluminium balustrade
Orange – Perspex sheet
Light blue – pool fencing (gate location indicated)
Dark blue – glass balustrade, needs to include ‘stop ends’ – perpendicular panels that run width of coping tiles to prevent any trafficking along edge. Balustrade to terminate 900mm past any climbable edges (edge of pool, step)
