Project Description

I already have a complete working Attendance & Employee Management application source code.

Current technology:

- React 19
- TypeScript
- Vite
- Convex backend/database
- PWA
- Existing authentication system
- Existing web/admin dashboard

I need an experienced Android developer to create a professional Android application based on my existing system and source code.

This is not a new application from scratch. I will provide the existing source code to the selected developer.

Important Requirement

My existing live application must NOT be changed, modified or disturbed.

The new Android app must be developed and tested separately.

The Android app should support the required employee/user roles based on the existing system.

- Camera access where required

- File/PDF/Excel functions where applicable

All existing important functions should be reviewed from the supplied source code before development.

Android Requirements

I need a proper Android app that:

- Works smoothly on modern Android phones
- Has a professional mobile UI
- Supports required Android permissions correctly
- Supports GPS/location
- Supports camera
- Supports notifications
- Supports phone dialer integration
- Handles Android back button correctly
- Handles internet/network errors properly
- Maintains login/session securely
- Works after app restart
- Supports different screen sizes

Developer must follow current Android and Google Play policies.

Backend

The existing project currently uses Convex.

Developer should first inspect the supplied source code and confirm whether:

1. The existing Convex backend can be safely used for the new Android app, or
2. Any Hercules-specific dependency needs to be replaced.

The new Android development must not affect my existing live application or database.

Any migration or backend change must be discussed and approved before implementation.

Technology Preference

Because my current application is React + TypeScript, React Native is preferred, but I am open to another professional solution if the developer can clearly explain the benefits.

I do not want only a basic WebView APK presented as a complete Android rebuild without informing me.

If Capacitor/WebView is proposed, the developer must clearly explain this before the project is awarded.

Deliverables

The developer must provide:

- Complete Android application
- APK for testing
- Final signed APK
- Play Store-ready AAB
- Complete editable Android source code
- Backend/API source changes, if any
- Database/backend configuration instructions
- Build instructions
- Deployment documentation
- All project files
- All credentials/configuration created specifically for the new system
- Bug fixing before final acceptance

I must have 100% ownership of the final source code.

There must be no developer-controlled account, hidden access, license lock, expiry, or dependency that prevents me from using the application independently.

Source Code

I already have the existing application source package and will provide it to the selected developer for inspection.

The developer must understand the existing structure before making major changes.

Before I Award the Project

2. Can you develop this as a proper Android application?
3. Would you recommend React Native, Capacitor or another solution? Why?
4. Can you keep my existing live system completely untouched?
5. Can you provide APK + AAB + complete editable source code?
6. Can you integrate GPS, camera, notifications and phone dialer features?
7. Will I receive 100% ownership of all code?
8. Are there any monthly third-party costs?
9. What is your total price?
10. What is your realistic delivery time?
11. Will you provide post-delivery bug support?
12. Please show examples of similar Android applications you have developed.
