About the Role QuickVisit Urgent Care is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide telepsychiatry care remotely, serving rural communities in Iowa. Our mission is to improve access to trusted, affordable, and personalized healthcare for underserved communities. The provider will perform psychiatric evaluations and manage patient psychiatric medications for individuals aged six through adulthood, addressing a range of mental health conditions. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments virtually. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications. Perform screening exams, diagnostic exams, and manage non-emergent medical conditions. Provide counseling and ensure adherence to mental health treatment laws. Maintain timely and compliant documentation. Direct aftercare and discharge planning. Attend Treatment Team meetings to coordinate patient care. Ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations. Qualifications/Requirements Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) board certification Licensed in Iowa Valid DEA number 1 year of psychiatric experience preferred Strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education Advanced level of psychiatric, medical, and nursing knowledge Strong communication skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team Benefits Malpractice insurance included
