My store currently shows all prices in ZAR only, which confuses shoppers outside South Africa. I need every product page, mini-cart, and the full checkout flow to let visitors pick their own currency and see accurate converted totals straight away.
What matters most
• Product pages and the checkout experience must update instantly when a different currency is chosen.
• Shoppers should control the currency themselves through a clear picker (no automatic geo-switching).
• Conversions have to be reliable, pulling rates from a trusted source and refreshing on a schedule I can set.
• Coupons, taxes, shipping, and order emails must respect the selected currency end-to-end.
Preferred approach
I’m happy to use a proven WooCommerce multi-currency plugin, a custom snippet, or a mix—whatever keeps updates simple in future and doesn’t slow the site. Please tell me which solution you recommend, why, and any license costs I should expect.
Deliverables
1. Working currency switcher visible on every product and cart/checkout screen.
2. Accurate price conversion from my base ZAR store currency.
3. Full testing with at least three additional currencies of my choice.
4. Brief written guide (or quick Loom video) showing how I can add or remove currencies later.
If you have done similar multi-currency setups before, send a quick link or screenshot so I can see it in action. I’d like to start as soon as you’re ready and wrap up once the above points are solid and tested.
Note that the plugin Extra Product Options is used on one page to achieve a product module selection list for the various subscription plans we have. But the prices are displayed in ZAR with the local currency symbol. Because of this, I have taken the page down.
