I already have a functioning Windows-based application and now need focused code improvements rather than a full rebuild. The project is established, but a few modules require refactoring, new features, and bug fixes so the software remains stable across current Windows versions.

You’ll begin by reviewing the existing repository, then propose an upgrade plan that preserves present functionality while integrating the requested changes. Clear, well-commented code and unit tests are essential so future updates stay straightforward.

Please be comfortable working within an inherited codebase: tracing logic, spotting edge-case errors, and documenting every adjustment. After implementation, I’ll need a compiled build plus the updated source, along with a brief change log that highlights what was modified and why.
