VB.NET Campus Placement System

I have to present a fully working Campus Placement Management System during my final-year viva and need the entire Visual Basic .NET Windows Forms solution completed, tested, and compiled into a single .exe. The application must use SQL Server as the back-end.

Scope and core flow
• Login directs users to a role-aware dashboard.
• Three roles—Admin, Student, and Company—are required.
• Regardless of role, each user needs the ability to view data, add / edit / delete their permitted records, and run reports.

Key modules you will build
– Dashboard overview with quick stats
– Student management (profile, qualifications, placement status)
– Company management (vacancies, visit dates, selection criteria)
– Search module with multi-field filtering
– Reports module producing Placement, Student Performance, and Company Interaction reports in printable/exportable form (PDF or Excel)
– Role-based access control wrapped around every data operation

Technical requirements
• VB.NET Windows Forms, .NET Framework (4.x is fine)
• SQL Server database with proper relational design and sample seed data
• Parameterised queries or stored procedures to avoid SQL injection
• Clean, commented code suitable for academic scrutiny

Deliverables
1. Visual Studio solution with all source code and resource files
2. SQL Server schema script plus sample data insert script
3. Compiled release-mode .exe ready to run on Windows 10/11
4. Brief user guide explaining setup, default credentials, and navigation

Acceptance will be based on flawless compilation, smooth role switching, CRUD operations that persist to the database, and accurate generation of the three specified reports.
