# Senior UX/UI Designer + React Specialist — Premium OTT Platform

### Project: RishtaTV — Premium OTT Streaming Platform

We are looking for a **Senior UX/UI Designer + React Specialist** to join us in improving and scaling **RishtaTV**, a premium OTT entertainment platform.

This is **not a greenfield design project**. We already have an existing product, frontend, backend, design system, navigation, video players, content modules and production code. We need someone who can understand what already exists, identify what can be improved, and then design and implement those improvements without unnecessarily breaking or rebuilding the platform.

We are looking for someone with **strong product thinking, excellent visual taste and hands-on React expertise**.

The person should understand what makes a streaming platform feel **premium, cinematic, intuitive and production-ready**.

You will work across the existing RishtaTV product and help improve the UX/UI across:

* Wallet & Rewards

* Settings
* Authentication & onboarding

* Desktop, tablet & mobile navigation
* Empty, loading and error states
* Admin-facing UX where required

The goal is to make the entire product feel like **one cohesive OTT platform**, rather than separate modules built at different times.

You should not redesign something simply for the sake of redesigning it.

## UX/UI Expectations

We want a premium OTT experience with a visual language that is:

* Over-designed screens
* Too much unnecessary text
* Different button/card styles on every page
* Designs that look good only in Figma but fail in production

**Premium does not mean complicated.**

Mobile is extremely important for RishtaTV.

You must be comfortable designing and implementing experiences for:

You should understand:

* Touch targets
* Bottom navigation
* Mobile drawers
* Responsive heroes
* Vertical video
* Horizontal video
* Mini players
* Fullscreen players
* Keyboard behavior
* Responsive content rails
* Mobile-first information hierarchy

The experience should feel intentionally designed for each device — not simply a desktop layout squeezed onto mobile.

Experience with streaming/video products is strongly preferred.

The same interaction should look and behave consistently across the product.

We want **one design language across RishtaTV**.

# React Development

This role is not design-only.

You should be comfortable implementing your designs in our existing frontend environment.

You don't need to be a backend engineer, but you should be comfortable understanding frontend/backend relationships.

RishtaTV uses an existing backend and API architecture.

You will:

1. Audit the existing UX/UI
2. Identify usability and visual inconsistencies
3. Recommend improvements
4. Create Figma designs where required
5. Maintain and improve the existing design system
6. Build reusable React components
7. Implement responsive interfaces
8. Work with our existing developers/codebase
9. Test across mobile, tablet and desktop
10. Refine the implementation until it matches the intended design

# Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who combines **three things**:

### 1. Strong UX thinking

You understand:

> Why should this button exist?
> What should happen after the user clicks it?
> Is this flow actually useful?

### 2. Strong visual design

You understand:

> Typography, spacing, hierarchy, imagery, composition, motion and premium visual language.

### 3. Strong frontend implementation

You understand:

> How to turn the design into clean, responsive, maintainable React code.

If you are only a Figma designer, this is **not the right role**.

If you are only a React developer who follows screenshots, this is also **not the right role**.

We need someone who can bridge **Product + Design + Frontend**.

We want someone who can identify the highest-impact improvements and execute them systematically.
