I have a collection of handwritten manuscripts that have already been scanned into searchable-but-rough PDF files. The content spans full-length books, so accuracy and consistency across hundreds of pages matter far more than speed. I simply need every word transferred into clean, well-formatted, editable text.

The handwriting is legible but varies slightly from page to page, so close attention to detail is essential. Spelling, punctuation, and paragraph breaks should be preserved exactly as they appear in the originals unless an obvious error is present; in that case, please flag it rather than silently correcting it.

Deliverables
• A single Microsoft Word or Google Docs file for each original PDF, mirroring the page order.
• A brief change log noting any unclear words or uncertainties.

Acceptance criteria
• 99% or higher transcription accuracy (spot-checked).
• Original line breaks respected where they affect meaning or flow.
• No missing pages, sections, or footnotes.

If you use any OCR or handwriting recognition tools (Adobe Acrobat OCR, ABBYY FineReader, etc.), ensure you still proofread line by line. Let me know your estimated turnaround time for roughly 300 PDF pages, and whether you prefer staged milestones so I can review batches as you progress.
