I am developing a professional trading technology platform and would like to begin with a small paid technical discussion before proceeding to the larger development project.

The eventual platform is expected to include a professional hotkey-driven trading terminal with fast Buy/Sell execution, order modification/cancellation/replacement, configurable quantity and price controls, real-time order and execution status, broker/exchange connectivity, order management, risk controls, and robust handling of execution errors and connection failures.

The broader system may eventually include:

• Multiple broker and market-data integrations
• REST APIs, WebSockets and FIX connectivity where appropriate
• Low-latency and highly responsive desktop applications
• Multi-threaded/concurrent processing
• Automated trading and strategy execution
• Trading strategy development and integration
• Options strategy development and execution
• Historical backtesting of trading and options strategies
• Walk-forward / forward testing
• Out-of-sample validation
• Paper/simulated trading before live deployment
• Risk-management and position-limit controls
• Multi-strategy and portfolio-level execution
• Real-time monitoring, logging and recovery

### Strategy Research & Validation

A future requirement is to support a complete research-to-live workflow:

Market Data
→ Strategy / Signal
→ Backtesting
→ Out-of-Sample Testing
→ Walk-Forward / Forward Testing
→ Paper Trading
→ Risk Validation
→ Live Execution
→ Performance Monitoring

This should support both traditional trading strategies and options strategies, including appropriate handling of options-specific data such as expiry, strike, option Greeks, volatility and contract lifecycle where required.

For this initial $5 project, I am NOT asking for implementation or disclosure of any proprietary strategy. I want a technical architecture and capability discussion.

Please explain how you would approach:

1. Hotkey-driven manual/semi-automated order execution.
2. OMS and order-state management.
3. Order validation and risk controls.
4. Broker/API/FIX connectivity.
5. Real-time market data and execution updates.
6. Multiple broker integrations without tightly coupling the trading engine to one broker.
7. Automated strategy execution and how strategies interact with the execution engine.
8. Strategy development and integration.
9. Historical backtesting architecture.
10. Walk-forward and forward-testing architecture.
11. Out-of-sample validation and avoiding look-ahead/data leakage.
12. Paper/simulated trading before live deployment.
13. Options strategy backtesting and live execution considerations.
14. Multithreading and concurrent order processing.
15. Duplicate-order and unintended-order prevention.
16. Partial fills, cancellations, rejections and replacements.
17. Disconnect/reconnection and recovery.
18. Low-latency and highly responsive desktop applications.
19. Logging, monitoring and fault handling.
20. Scaling from a single strategy/broker to multiple strategies and brokers.

A simplified future architecture could be:

Please also recommend the appropriate technology stack (C++, C#, .NET, Python or a combination) and explain why.

Relevant experience with trading terminals, automated trading systems, strategy development, options strategies, backtesting, walk-forward/forward testing, execution engines, risk management, OMS, FIX, broker APIs, multi-broker integrations and real-money trading systems is particularly relevant.

No confidential client information, proprietary strategy logic, or source code is required. High-level architecture and experience are sufficient.

If the technical approach and capabilities are aligned, we can proceed to the larger development scope separately.
