I run a tourism-focused platform that lets travellers browse tours, reserve accommodation, and buy event tickets. Right now several pieces are holding us back and I’d like an experienced web developer to step in, get everything running smoothly, and refresh the overall experience.
Booking system
• Payments occasionally fail or don’t record, and the booking modal is stuck on “$0 per night / $0 total”.
• Reservation scheduling sometimes double-books or drops dates.
• Automated user notifications (confirmation emails, reminders, status updates) are hit-and-miss.
• I’ve recently added packaged tours and ticketed events, so the flow needs to accommodate those products as seamlessly as standard room bookings.
User interface
The site feels dated on desktop and clunky on phones. I want a modern look, cleaner navigation, and first-class mobile responsiveness so travellers can book from any device without friction.
Performance
Pages should load fast worldwide; core vitals have to be in the green once we’re done.
You’re free to work in the stack you’re most comfortable with—as long as the final code is well-documented and can be handed off cleanly. After fixes and upgrades are complete I’ll need a quick walkthrough so I can maintain basic content changes on my own.
