Temporary Dome Structural Drafting

I need an experienced structural draftsman to take a temporary event-dome concept through to engineering-ready documentation. The scope covers modelling the full steel frame, applying connection details suited to rapid on-site assembly, and preparing every drawing a structural engineer and fabricator will expect before sign-off.

You’ll work in the platform that feels most natural to you—AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or an equivalent—but the output must clearly show member sizes, plate thicknesses, bolt patterns, and splice locations. My priority is clarity for both the certifying engineer and the workshop, so each sheet should read cleanly with coordinated section cuts, elevations, and 3-D views where helpful.

Deliverables on completion:
• Structural layout drawings
• Detailed fabrication drawings with part numbering
• Consolidated material and bolt schedules ready for procurement

I’ll supply the preliminary geometry, load assumptions, and any architectural constraints the moment we kick off. If you’ve spent at least five years detailing steel frames—especially stages, tents, or other fast-build structures—you’ll feel right at home with this assignment.
