Supply Chain Professional for LA Robotics StartUp (ONSITE)

I'm seeking an expert to overhaul my supply chain, targeting logistics, inventory management, and procurement. The goal is to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance tracking and visibility.

Successful freelancers should provide:

- Relevant experience
- Detailed project proposals

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for at least the first 6–12 months — not a team-management position out of the gate — and success here means owning end-to-end procurement while also being genuinely accountable for what happens to inventory after it arrives, not just placing good orders. We're specifically looking for someone who's worked in hardware/engineering/manufacturing component sourcing (not indirect spend like marketing or facilities), who's operated at a smaller, resource-constrained company OR Startup, where they had to build process rather than inherit it, and who has real financial fluency tied to inventory decisions.

-End-to-end procurement: sourcing, negotiating, issuing POs, and confirming on-time fulfillment

-Inventory management with real financial accountability — designing processes that prevent excess/obsolete/slow-moving inventory from becoming a write-off, not just running periodic stock counts

-Owning delivery-default resolution directly when a supplier misses a commitment or ships out-of-spec parts

-Partnering with engineering to turn technical requirements — including unfamiliar ones — into concrete sourcing plans

-Building visibility systems (open POs, vendor commitments, lead times) from the ground up as we scale

-Comfortable holding incumbent suppliers accountable, including difficult conversations, when performance falls short
