**StoreForge — Full-Stack E-Commerce Platform with Integrated Payment Gateways**
StoreForge is a production-ready e-commerce website built to solve a problem most freelance storefronts get wrong: reliable, correctly-handled payment processing. Many e-commerce builds break on edge cases like duplicate webhook events, failed payment retries, or inventory going out of sync after a refund — issues that only surface once real customers start using the store. StoreForge was engineered specifically to avoid these failure points from day one.
The platform includes a complete customer-facing storefront with product browsing, variant selection, persistent cart, and a streamlined multi-step checkout, alongside a full admin panel for managing products, orders, discount codes, and sales analytics. Payment processing is integrated with both Stripe and Razorpay, supporting cards, UPI, netbanking, and digital wallets — giving businesses the flexibility to serve international and Indian customers from a single platform.
What sets this project apart is the depth of the payment integration itself: idempotent webhook handling to prevent duplicate orders, automatic inventory adjustment on successful payment or refund, tokenised payment storage (no raw card data ever touches the server), and automated email notifications at every stage of the order lifecycle. These are the details that separate a store that looks functional from one that actually holds up under real transaction volume.
Built with Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Tailwind CSS, the platform features a clean, conversion-focused interface with full mobile responsiveness, dark mode support, and a configurable theming system — meaning the storefront can be rebranded and redeployed for a new client without rebuilding the underlying architecture from scratch.
