Our logistics team already has the React-based dashboard virtually ready to go—we now need the Django muscle behind it. I’m looking for someone who can stand up a clean, well-documented Django REST API on PostgreSQL, wire it into the existing UI, and make sure inventory data flows in real time.
Core scope
• Build the database schema in PostgreSQL and expose it through Django REST Framework endpoints.
• Implement OAuth authentication/authorization so our staff and partners can sign in with their existing accounts.
• Add low-stock alerts that trigger both via the API and inside the dashboard.
• Record full inventory history so users can view item-level movements over time.
• Enable the live tracking hooks we’ve sketched out (Redis or channels—open to your recommendation) so counts update instantly on the front end.
• Hand off concise setup docs plus a short walkthrough video so my in-house dev can maintain it.
Everything is ready on the design side, so you can focus 100 % on the backend logic, test coverage, and smooth integration. I need an MVP up and running ASAP; if we click, there’s a clear roadmap for barcode scanning and other enhancements.
