I need an experienced Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 / WinCC engineer to build a read-only connector from an existing PCS 7 DCS system to an existing Excel MIS workbook.

The plant already uses PCS 7/WinCC and the Excel workbook already contains formulas and a management dashboard. The goal is to automatically extract selected DCS values and populate only the approved Excel input cells without modifying plant-control logic.

The freelancer should first review the actual PCS 7 setup and recommend the safest supported method, such as Siemens-generated Excel/CSV export, OPC UA/OPC DA, OpenPCS 7, Process Historian, WinCC archives, or another approved read-only interface.

Scope includes:

identify the correct PCS 7/WinCC data-access method;
map approximately 50–100 required tags/parameters to Excel fields;
correctly handle cumulative totalizers, resets, rollover, timestamps and missing values;
build automatic data extraction and Excel population;
preserve existing Excel formulas, formatting and dashboard;
add validation, duplicate protection, error logging and retry handling;
test results against existing historical MIS reports;
provide installation and technical documentation.

Required experience: Siemens PCS 7, WinCC, OPC/historian/data integration, industrial networking and plant commissioning.

This is not a PLC programming or plant-control project. The connector must be read-only and must not write commands or values back to the DCS.
