About Sybilla Technologies📡
Sybilla Technologies designs, builds and operates robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis, and scheduling networks of sensors. We work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.

About The Role
Space is becoming increasingly driven by software - and we're building the technology behind it. At Sybilla Technologies, you'll develop high-performance software for autonomous optical systems used in space observation, working with modern .NET technologies, distributed architectures, and cloud-native solutions. We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership of their work, and wants to build products that have a real impact.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain software components for Sybilla's Optical Systems, including Abot, A24N, and AstroDrive products.

Deliver new features and continuously improve Sybilla's observational capabilities by implementing high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into reliable software.

Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions, ensuring maintainability and scalability.

Build and optimize backend services, APIs, and integrations with other system components.

Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code while following software engineering best practices.

Participate in code reviews and actively contribute to improving development processes and engineering standards.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across the platform.

Essential Experience:
6+ years of commercial experience in developing software applications using .NET.

Advanced knowledge of the .NET ecosystem, software design principles, design patterns, and architectural approaches, including monolithic, modular monolith, and microservices architectures.

Strong experience with relational databases and Entity Framework.

Experience with message brokers (especially RabbitMQ) and event-driven architecture.

Good knowledge of Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and application hosting.

Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.

Professional proficiency in English, enabling effective communication and understanding of technical documentation.

Interest in the space industry and space-related technologies.

Nice to Have
Higher education in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline.

Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated data processing workflows and pipelines.

Frontend development experience with Blazor, Angular, or React.

Knowledge of Python scripting.

Strong understanding of statistics and numerical methods, particularly in mathematics, physics, or astrophysics.

What We Offer
