Freelancer Required – SAW Welding Controller Development

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Systems / PCB Design Engineer to develop a dedicated controller PCB for an SAW (Submerged Arc Welding) machine.

The welding control logic has already been developed and tested on an Arduino development board. We now want to convert the existing prototype into a reliable, compact and industrial-grade controller PCB.

Scope of Work

* Review existing Arduino code and logic
* Convert Arduino-based control logic to a suitable MCU platform such as STM32
* Design complete circuit schematic
* Design industrial-grade PCB
* 24 VDC industrial input/output
* Isolated digital inputs and protected digital outputs
* Analog inputs for welding voltage/current feedback
* Welding voltage sensing with proper isolation
* Encoder interface
* DC motor / AVC motor control interface
* Wire-feed motor control interface
* Travel motor control
* Relay/solenoid outputs
* Welding ON/OFF control
* Limit switch and fault inputs
* RS485 / CAN communication
* EMI/noise protection suitable for welding applications
* Connector and terminal selection
* PCB prototype support and testing
* Firmware development and debugging
* Documentation, schematic, PCB files and BOM

Preferred Experience

The freelancer should have practical experience with:

* STM32 / Arduino
* Embedded C/C++
* Industrial automation
* PCB schematic

Deliverables

1. Complete circuit schematic
2. PCB layout and Gerber files
3. BOM with component details
4. PCB manufacturing files
5. Firmware source code
6. Program/debugging support
7. Prototype testing support
