1. About the Project
We are building a high-performance Web3 infrastructure platform focused on scalable backend services, blockchain transaction processing, data pipelines, and reliable distributed systems.
We are looking for a Senior Rust Backend Engineer who can design, build, optimize, and maintain production-grade backend infrastructure.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with strong experience in:
- Rust
- Asynchronous and concurrent systems
- Backend architecture
- REST/RPC APIs
- PostgreSQL
- Redis
- Distributed systems
- High-throughput workloads
- Production infrastructure
Experience with Solana or other blockchain infrastructure is highly valuable. However, exceptional senior Rust engineers with strong distributed-systems and backend experience are also encouraged to apply.
2. What You'll Do
- Design and develop high-performance backend services using Rust.
- Build asynchronous and concurrent services using Tokio.
- Develop REST and RPC APIs using Axum.
- Design transaction-processing and event-driven backend systems.
- Build reliable data-processing and indexing pipelines.
- Integrate backend services with blockchain networks and RPC providers.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and high-throughput database workflows.
- Use Redis for caching, queues, and performance-sensitive workloads.
- Implement retries, timeouts, idempotency, and recovery mechanisms.
- Optimize latency, throughput, CPU usage, and memory consumption.
- Investigate and resolve production performance and reliability issues.
- Build services capable of handling high-volume workloads.
- Implement logging, monitoring, metrics, and production diagnostics.
- Participate in architecture and technical design decisions.
- Review code and maintain engineering and security standards.
- Work closely with blockchain and infrastructure engineers.
3. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong professional experience developing production systems with Rust.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming.
- Production experience with Tokio or comparable Rust async frameworks.
- Experience designing and building scalable backend services.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience.
- Experience with Redis or similar data/caching systems.
- Strong Linux and Git experience.
- Experience debugging and operating production systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Ability to take ownership of backend components from architecture through production operation.
4. Web3 / Blockchain Experience
Experience with blockchain infrastructure is highly desirable, particularly:
- Solana
- Ethereum / EVM
- Blockchain RPC
- Transaction processing
- Blockchain indexing
- On-chain/off-chain data reconciliation
- Wallet infrastructure
- DeFi infrastructure
- DEX or trading systems
- Blockchain event processing
- Geyser / Yellowstone
- Validator infrastructure
- Smart-contract integrations
- High-throughput blockchain systems
Solana experience is a strong advantage, but it is not mandatory for an otherwise exceptional Rust backend engineer.
5. Preferred Technical Experience
The following experience is a plus:
- Solana SDK
- Anchor
- Geyser / Yellowstone
- Agave / Solana validator infrastructure
- Blockchain indexing
- Transaction simulation and submission
- Event-driven architectures
- Kafka or similar messaging systems
- WebSockets
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Cloud infrastructure
- Performance profiling
- Low-latency systems
- High-frequency trading systems
- DeFi protocols
- MEV infrastructure
- Financial or payment infrastructure
You do not need experience with every technology listed above.
6.Technical Environment
- Language: Rust
- Async Runtime: Tokio
- Backend Framework: Axum
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Caching / Data: Redis
- APIs: REST / RPC / WebSockets
- Blockchain: Solana / Web3
7. What We're Looking For
We are looking for an engineer who can think beyond individual API endpoints and build reliable systems at the infrastructure level.
You should understand:
- Concurrency
- Asynchronous processing
- Transaction lifecycles
- Distributed systems
- Data consistency
- Fault tolerance
- Performance optimization
- Production monitoring
- High-throughput backend architecture
You should be comfortable owning a backend component through:
Architecture → Implementation → Testing → Deployment → Monitoring → Optimization
We value engineers who can explain why they choose an architecture, understand technical trade-offs, and solve difficult production problems.
Most importantly, we want to see evidence of real hands-on production engineering, rather than familiarity with technology names alone.
8. Compensation
The final rate will depend on:
- Rust expertise
- Backend architecture experience
- Distributed-systems knowledge
- Blockchain experience
- Production engineering experience
- Performance engineering skills
- Technical depth
- Level of ownership
9. Evaluation Process
Our evaluation is designed to assess practical engineering ability rather than simply years of experience.
1. Technical background review
2. Technical assessment
3. Technical Intereview of the submitted work
4. Final technical evaluation and contract(offer)
The assessment may cover areas such as:
- Rust architecture
- Async/concurrent programming
- Tokio
- API design
- PostgreSQL
- Redis
- Distributed systems
- Blockchain/RPC concepts
- Performance and reliability
10. To Apply
Please provide the following:
- GitHub profile
- LinkedIn profile
- Portfolio or relevant project examples
- Years of professional Rust experience
- Years of backend engineering experience
- Blockchain experience and years of experience
- Solana experience, if applicable
- Examples of production Rust systems you have personally built
- Experience with Tokio and Axum
- PostgreSQL experience
- Redis experience
- Availability (hours/week)
- Earliest possible start date
- Expected hourly rate
Please highlight relevant experience with:
Rust backend systems, distributed systems, Solana, blockchain infrastructure, transaction processing, indexing, DeFi, trading systems, financial infrastructure, performance optimization, or high-throughput services.
11. Important
Please clearly distinguish between technologies you have:
1. Personally implemented in production
2. Used in development or projects
3. Studied or have theoretical familiarity with
We are particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate real production ownership and hands-on implementation experience.
Generic applications that simply list technologies without explaining actual implementation experience are less useful to us.
When describing your experience, please include the specific system you built, your role, the technologies you personally implemented, and the production scale or workload where possible.
