I am putting together the electrical backbone for a new home and need a complete design for both the AC Distribution Board (ACDB) and the DC Distribution Board (DCDB). The system must serve typical residential loads safely and efficiently, and I want surge protection built in from the outset.
You are free to select the most suitable brands and models for breakers, SPDs, busbars, enclosures, meters, and any other components; I’m looking for unbiased, performance-driven recommendations rather than being locked into a single manufacturer. Local code compliance and best-practice wiring conventions are non-negotiable. If you normally work in AutoCAD, Revit, E-Plan, or similar CAD/electrical design software, please keep using your preferred tool—just be sure the final files are easy for my installer to read.
At hand-over I expect:
• Single-line and detailed wiring diagrams for both boards
• Physical layout drawings showing device placement and clear cable routing
• Bill of materials with part numbers, tech specs, and quantities
• Brief design notes explaining protection levels, diversity factors, and future expansion capacity
Designs that anticipate rooftop solar or battery integration later on would be a plus, but the immediate focus is a robust, surge-protected residential setup I can forward straight to my electrician.
Grid voltage 440v, 50hz
Inverter model Deye SUN-15K-G03
Panel: waree 700watts hjt
