Three of my home machines now run Ubuntu and I want a seasoned Linux hand to connect in remotely, sort out the rough edges, and walk me through the process when I ask. English has to be your native tongue because we will talk by phone while you work; I’m a retired electrical engineer and like to understand what is happening—though at times I will simply say “just fix it”.
Current pain points include system-level errors, software installation headaches, and network or sharing glitches. Practical items on the to-do list range from cleaning up bloated menus and duplicate entries, correcting wrong screen resolutions, tightening power-management and startup behaviour, removing leftover operating systems, configuring reliable backups, to recommending and setting up new applications.
You will:
• Remote into each of the three Ubuntu computers (SSH, AnyDesk or similar—your choice).
• Resolve the identified bugs and configuration issues so the systems run cleanly.
• Explain your steps when I request it so I can reproduce them later.
• Leave concise notes or scripts for any repeatable fixes.
If this first round goes smoothly, I expect to reach out for future sessions whenever something crops up.
