Product Development Engineer Needed – Consumer Electronics Prototype

I am looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer or Product Development Engineer to help develop a new portable consumer electronic product from concept to prototype.

The project requires a combination of mechanical engineering, product design and basic electrical engineering knowledge.

Initial Scope of Work:

1- Evaluate the technical feasibility of the concept.
2- Define the main mechanical and functional requirements.
3- Develop the initial mechanical design and internal component layout.
4- Prepare preliminary 3D CAD models.
5- Identify suitable materials and components.
6- Provide recommendations for prototyping and manufacturing.
7- Prepare technical documentation and an initial Bill of Materials (BOM).

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in mechanical product development.

Experience designing physical consumer products.

Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and moving mechanisms.

Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or Creo.

Familiarity with electronic product integration.

Experience taking concepts through prototyping and testing.

This is an original product concept. Further technical details, specifications and design information will be shared with shortlisted candidates after signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Please include examples of previously developed physical products and briefly describe your role in those projects.

The initial engagement will focus on technical feasibility and concept development. Further development and prototyping may follow based on the results of the first phase.
