I need a 3D cylinder that ends up as an STL suitable for direct 3-D printing as the final product, not a prototype. The finished piece must measure exactly 124.5 mm in height and 80 mm in diameter once sliced, so dimension accuracy is critical.
I will supply a grayscale PNG to use as relief that has to wrap cleanly around the curved surface. Whether you choose displacement, embossing, or simple texture mapping is up to you, as long as the image is clearly reproduced on the print and there are no visible seams or stretching. Relief dimensions must be between 0 mm and 1.2 mm with a maximum of 1.2 mm.
Please:
• apply the PNG correctly,
• keep wall thickness within stated dimensions and and 3D print-friendly,
• verify scale inside the file, and
• export a STL.
I’ll run the STL through my slicer to confirm fit; if the size is off by more than ±0.1 mm or the image alignment drifts, I’ll ask for a quick tweak. Once everything slices perfectly, we’re done.
