Our rivercane stand took the full force of a recent hurricane, and I need a clear, science-based picture of how the plants are coping. The emphasis is strictly on vegetation health, with two priorities:
• Detecting any hurricane-related plant disease now spreading through the stand
• Verifying the stability of root systems along the riverbank
I’m after more than a cursory look; please document visible symptoms, quantify root anchorage where feasible, and explain the implications for long-term stand viability. If you feel additional checks—such as nutrient profiling—would sharpen the diagnosis, note that in your proposal and cost it separately.
Deliverables
1. Field or remote-data-supported health report detailing disease presence, root stability metrics, and photographic evidence.
2. A concise action plan ranking remedial steps from urgent to optional.
3. GIS-ready shapefile or geo-referenced PDF marking the most vulnerable clumps (if you use drones or satellite imagery).
Wrap your findings in a format I can forward to local conservation partners, and flag anything that demands immediate intervention.
