POS Installation Engineers Needed Norway

Freelance L2 POS Installation Field Engineers (Norway)

We are looking for experienced L2 Field Engineer freelancers with POS/till installation experience for a hardware deployment project across Norway.

- Dates: November 9–12, 2026
- Shift: Early Morning (06:00 AM start, before store opening)

Locations :
•Oslo Area: Oslo Arkaden, Strømmen, Ski, Jessheim
•South & East: Drammen, Østfoldhallene, Kristiansand
•West & Southwest: Bergen, Åsane, Hafrsfjord, Sandnes, Ålesund
•Central & North: Trondheim, Trondheim Sirkus, Tromsø Jekta, Tromsø Nerstranda

Scope of Work
• 06:00 – 07:00: Site arrival, manager check-in, unpacking, and basic network checks.
• 07:00 – 08:30: De-install legacy tills, drill counter cable holes (template provided), mount space poles/sales units, connect hardware, and tidy cables.
•08:30 – 09:00: Activate/configure POS software, complete functional testing (including headset audio test), and fill out sign-off sheets.
•09:00 – 09:45: Hand over main till for manager testing, install remaining tills, mount bag hooks, cover unused holes, clear shop floor, and get final sign-off.

Required Skills & Tools
•L2 field engineering experience with retail POS installations.
•Comfortable using power tools to cut through aluminium and plywood surfaces.
•Tools required: Power drill with 30mm & 50mm hole cutters, screwdriver set, Allen keys, extension lead, safety knife, Velcro ties, and basic cleaning supplies.
•IT & Testing: Charged Windows laptop, smartphone with Webex/Teams, USB drive, and a headset with an audio jack (for accessibility testing).

• PPE & Admin: Gloves, safety glasses, dust mask, valid photo ID, and professional attire.
