I’ve written and illustrated a new children’s series where every character is a musical instrument. In Book 1, “Paulie Pick Finds Studioland,” fifteen different instruments spring to life—yet each is still missing its own signature sound. That’s where you come in.
I need catchy, child-friendly pop music with vocals that can serve as individual theme songs for those fifteen characters. Think short, memorable hooks that instantly tell listeners who a character is and what they feel, much like how every superhero has a recognizable motif. Lyrics should reinforce each instrument’s personality (for example, Paulie Pick’s playful curiosity or the snare drum’s unstoppable energy) while remaining age-appropriate and sing-along ready.
Scope of work
• Compose and produce one vocal pop theme per character (≈45–60 seconds each).
• Provide mixed and mastered WAV or AIFF files plus project stems.
• Supply a simple lyric sheet for each song so kids can read or sing along.
I handle the narrative and visuals; you handle the sonic identity. You’re free to create in the DAW of your choice—Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, etc.—as long as the final audio meets basic broadcast quality (44.1 kHz/24-bit, clean, no clipping).
Once we collaborate on the first few themes and lock in the style, we’ll roll through the remaining characters in batches. If you’re the sort of musician who smiles at the idea of trumpets, violins, and guitars literally having their own pop anthems, message me with a link to something upbeat you’ve produced that shows off vocal hooks and clear kid-friendly energy. I’ll send over character sketches and sample pages so you can dive straight into the fun.
