I want my microwave to obey the same Start/Stop, cooking-time, and temperature commands that I already issue from my PLC / HMI instead of pressing the front panel keys. The idea is to tap into the oven’s control board (or replace it if that proves cleaner) and expose safe, isolated I/O points the PLC can drive.
The job covers tracing the existing circuitry, designing a small interface that links the magnetron controls and door interlocks to digital or serial lines, and supplying the PLC logic and an HMI screen so I can trigger a cycle, set the exact seconds, and vary the power level without touching the appliance.
Safety is critical: all native protections, RF shielding, and door-closed interlocks must stay intact. I am currently running a Siemens S7-1200 but can map your code to another platform if that speeds things up.
Deliverables
• Schematic and wiring diagram for the microwave-to-PLC interface (opto-isolated preferred)
• Bill of materials and any PCB or breakout design files
• PLC program plus sample HMI layout handling Start, Stop, Time, and Temperature fields
• Step-by-step installation and test guide illustrated with photos or clear diagrams
I will handle the physical wiring on site following your instructions; remote collaboration is fine as long as the documentation is unambiguous.
