I need an experienced automation engineer (around 4-10 years working with Playwright in both JavaScript and TypeScript) to build and maintain a solid test suite for my web application.

Scope
• Target platform is strictly Web.
• The suite must run reliably on Chrome and Firefox—cross-browser parity is essential.
• Coverage spans all three layers: end-to-end flows, critical integration points, and a handful of fast unit tests around our helper utilities.

Day-to-day you will wire Playwright into an existing Node/TypeScript repo, design a clean folder structure, and implement sensible fixtures, mocks, and test data factories. The code must be readable, reusable, and commit-ready with meaningful assertions and screenshots on failure. I will also rely on you to add concise README notes so any developer can execute npm test locally or inside our CI (GitHub Actions).

Deliverables
1. Configured Playwright project (tsconfig, playwright.config.ts, custom reporter).
2. Sample E2E, integration, and unit test suites that demonstrate best practices.
3. CI workflow file triggering tests on every pull request, reporting results back to GitHub.
4. Documentation covering setup, execution commands, and how to extend the suite.

I’ll review the merge request, run the pipeline, and accept once all tests pass on both browsers and the code follows our lint rules.
