Shopify Website Development for a Personalized Children’s Book Brand

We are looking for an experienced Shopify developer/designer to build an e-commerce website for Fibblewick, a personalized children’s book brand.

We are happy to use Shopify and existing third-party apps wherever possible. We are not looking for a fully custom backend or unnecessary development from scratch.

However, the customer-facing website must feel unique, premium, and highly customized. We do not want a website that looks like a standard Shopify template with only the logo, colors, and images changed.

About the Business

Fibblewick creates personalized children’s books based on information and photos provided by the customer.

Customers will tell us about their child, upload photos, choose their book format, and place their order through the website.

A large percentage of our traffic is expected to come from Instagram, TikTok, and influencer marketing, so the website must be mobile-first and optimized for conversion.

The experience should be simple and enjoyable, especially on mobile.

Affiliate System — Very Important

Influencer and affiliate marketing will be an important acquisition channel for the business.

We therefore need an affiliate system that supports:

* Unique referral links for each affiliate
* Unique affiliate / discount codes
* Automatic attribution of purchases
* Automatic commission calculation
* Pending commission period to account for refunds/cancellations
* Affiliate dashboard showing sales and commissions
* Affiliate payout details/account setup
* Automatic payouts of approved commissions

Automatic payout is a required feature.

We do not want to manually calculate commissions or manually send payments to every affiliate each month.

We are happy to use an existing Shopify app or third-party affiliate platform. There is no need to build the affiliate system from scratch.

Design Requirements

Shopify may be used as the e-commerce backend, but the customer-facing website should feel like a standalone premium brand.

The design direction should be:

* Strong visual storytelling
* High-quality presentation of book illustrations and examples

A generic Shopify/template-store appearance is not acceptable.

Using an existing Shopify theme as a technical foundation is completely fine, but it should be customized enough that the final website feels unique to Fibblewick.

We can provide our logo, brand assets, book illustrations, product images, and examples.
