Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced developer/team to build a paper trading platform for the Indian market, covering NSE F&O and MCX.

The platform will be strictly for paper trading/simulation. No real money will be involved and no orders will be placed on NSE, MCX, or any broker.

CRITICAL MARKET DATA REQUIREMENT

This is the most important requirement of the project.

We need a subscription-based market data API with WebSocket support for:

NSE F&O
MCX
The API MUST:
Be subscription-based
Provide real-time/tick-by-tick market data
Provide WebSocket streaming
Support high-speed, low-latency data delivery
Support multiple concurrent users
Provide LTP
Bid Price / Ask Price
Bid Quantity / Ask Quantity
Volume
Open Interest (OI)
Other relevant market data
❗ NO EXCHANGE AGREEMENT / LICENSING

We specifically require a market-data API/subscription that can be used without us entering into a separate exchange agreement or obtaining a direct NSE/MCX data licence.

We do NOT want a solution where we have to:

Sign an agreement directly with NSE/MCX
Obtain a direct exchange market-data licence
Complete lengthy exchange-level licensing procedures
Pay separate exchange data fees directly
Provide extensive company documentation/KYC to the exchange

The required solution should ideally be:

API Subscription → WebSocket → Our Backend → Our Android/iOS Apps

The API/data provider should already handle the required exchange-side arrangements/licensing on their end, if applicable, and provide us with a subscription/API that permits the intended display use.

Company Documentation / KYC

Our preference is an API provider that does not require extensive company documents or complicated KYC/business verification.

Ideally:

Individual/simple subscription
Online subscription
API key/credentials provided quickly
No direct exchange onboarding
No separate exchange agreement from our side

If a provider legally requires some documentation or licensing, clearly mention it in your proposal. Do not propose an API unless you are confident about its actual licensing and usage terms.

Data Usage

Market data will be used only for display inside our application.

There will be:

❌ No real-money trading
❌ No real orders
❌ No orders sent to NSE/MCX
❌ No broker integration
❌ No trading account integration
❌ No execution through any broker

All paper trades, positions, P&L, orders and user activity will be simulated and maintained in our own database.

Required Developer Experience

Market-data API knowledge is a MUST.

Apply only if you have hands-on experience with:

Generic app developers without Indian market-data API experience should not apply.

Proposal Must Include

Please provide clear answers to the following:

Which API/provider will you use for NSE F&O?
Which API/provider will you use for MCX?
Does it provide WebSocket/tick-by-tick data?
What is the expected data latency?
Does it provide LTP, Bid/Ask, Quantity, Volume and OI?
Is the API subscription-based?
Can we use it without signing a direct NSE/MCX exchange agreement?
Can we use it without obtaining a separate exchange market-data licence ourselves?
Does the provider handle the necessary exchange-side licensing/arrangements?
Are company documents/KYC required?
What is the monthly/yearly subscription cost?
What are the API/WebSocket connection and user limitations?
Can the feed be received once by our backend and efficiently broadcast to thousands of app users?
Have you previously integrated NSE/MCX real-time market data?
Please provide examples/demo/GitHub of relevant work if available.
Most Important

Do not apply unless you have a practical solution for the market-data requirement.

We are specifically looking for:

NSE F&O + MCX → Subscription-Based API → WebSocket/Tick-by-Tick → Our Backend → Android/iOS

The ideal solution should require NO direct NSE/MCX agreement, NO separate exchange licence from our side, and minimal/no company KYC, while remaining legally permitted for displaying the data in our application.

The developer must clearly explain the actual API provider, subscription plan, WebSocket capability, pricing, and licensing/usage conditions in the proposal.
