Optimize App Performance & Security

I have a fully-functioning application that users like, but it has started to feel sluggish and I’m concerned about occasional crashes and potential security gaps. My goal is simple: tighten the code so the app loads faster, runs reliably under heavy traffic, and follows current security best practices.

You’ll receive full access to the existing repository and a summary of the pain points I’ve observed. After an initial audit, you’ll recommend the quickest wins and any deeper refactors required; once we agree on the plan you’ll implement, test, and document every change.

Deliverables
• Performance and security audit report (baseline metrics, discovered issues, action plan)
• Optimised code committed to the repo with clear comments
• Updated dependency list and configuration files
• Automated test suite covering new or affected areas
• Final benchmark and security scan showing measurable improvement over the baseline
• Brief hand-over document so my in-house team can maintain the improvements

Acceptance criteria
• App start-up time reduced by a noticeable margin (exact target set after baseline)
• No new errors in the crash logs after one week of internal stress testing
• External security scan returns zero high-severity findings
• All tests pass in our CI pipeline
