I’m ready to build a custom open wardrobe from 10 mm MDF and need a clear, build-ready plan before I take a saw to the sheets. The unit will sit against a straight wall and must combine a full-height hanging space with both shelves and drawers, all fully open-front for easy access.
What I need from you is a dimensioned design that shows where every panel goes, how they connect, and exactly how many millimetres of board each piece consumes. Please work to common sheet sizes (2440 × 1220 mm is ideal) so I can optimise my material order.
Deliverables
• A scaled drawing or 3-D model (SketchUp, AutoCAD, Fusion 360—your choice) illustrating the complete carcass, shelf spacing, drawer boxes, and hanging rail position
• A labelled cut list for 10 mm MDF, grouped by board, with edge lengths indicated for laminating or edging if required
• Basic assembly notes that highlight fixing methods (confirmat screws, dowels, or pocket holes—whichever you prefer) and recommended clearances for drawer runners and hanging rail hardware
Acceptance
The cut list must tally precisely with the drawings, and total board usage should be easy to follow so I can order the right number of sheets. If you provide native files plus PDF exports, I can check and sign off quickly.
Once I approve the drawings, I’ll take it straight to the workshop—so practical, build-ready detail is far more valuable to me than photorealistic renders.
