I’m looking to bring a sharp full-stack developer into my team to keep our SaaS platforms moving forward. The codebase is a mix so you’ll need to be comfortable jumping between those languages as we roll out new modules.
Languages needed for the LeadRescue project
Core proficiency
TypeScript
Primary language across the project.
Used for the React frontend, Express API server, background workers, shared libraries, database schemas, integrations, and tests.
Includes TSX for React components.
SQL
Needed for PostgreSQL queries, database design, indexes, constraints, and debugging.
The project uses Drizzle ORM, but understanding the SQL generated underneath is important.
Working proficiency
JavaScript
Important for Node.js runtime behavior, Vite/build configuration, package tooling, and understanding compiled TypeScript.
Most application code is TypeScript rather than plain JavaScript.
HTML
Required for React markup, accessible page structure, forms, emails, and admin interfaces.
CSS
Needed for layout, responsive design, accessibility, and component styling.
The project primarily uses Tailwind CSS, so familiarity with CSS fundamentals is still necessary.
Bash / Shell scripting
Used for pnpm commands, development workflows, build scripts, environment setup, and deployment-related tasks.
Helpful configuration formats
These are not generally considered programming languages, but contributors should be comfortable reading and editing them:
YAML — OpenAPI specifications and some configuration files.
JSON — package manifests, API payloads, configuration, and structured data.
Markdown — project documentation and development instructions.
Main stack summary
A developer should be strongest in:
TypeScript + SQL + React/TSX + Node.js/Express
They should also have practical familiarity with:
HTML, CSS/Tailwind, Bash, OpenAPI, JSON, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, Vite, and pnpm
Python, Java, C#, Go, and Ruby are not currently required for the main LeadRescue codebase.
The immediate focus is three-fold:
• Feature development – shipping customer-facing functionality in short, well-tested iterations.
• Performance optimization – profiling hot paths, tightening queries, and making sure our pages stay fast under load.
• Bug fixing – tackling reported issues quickly, writing regression tests, and closing the loop with the product team.
You’ll be collaborating through GitHub, using standard PR reviews and CI pipelines. Expect to touch everything from REST and GraphQL endpoints to responsive UI components and deployment scripts.
Deliverables for each sprint will be:
1. Merged PRs for agreed features with passing tests.
2. Documented performance improvements (metrics before/after).
3. Closed bug tickets with clear root-cause notes.
4. Completed documentation of all steps involved, changes made, with the software version being updated.
