Old retaining Wall Removal & Rebuild

I need the old, failing retaining wall taken down, then replaced with a brand-new structure that is strong and simple for the front yard. The wall holds back a sloped garden, so reliable functional support is essential.

I am undecided on materials. I’m looking for professional guidance. Please walk me through the pros and cons of concrete, timber and natural stone, suggest drainage and reinforcement methods, and show me photo examples or sketches of modern-sleek, rustic-natural and classic-traditional finishes so I can choose the best match for the house and landscape.

I only want grass, Japanese Buxus and existing tree in the front yard. nothing extravagant.
Weeds and twigs have already been cleared. I live at Pennant Hills, NSW
