Nifty ±1% Email Alert

I need a small, reliable solution that keeps an eye on the entire Nifty index during market hours and fires off an email the moment the live price moves either 1 % up or 1 % down from the previous day’s close.

Key points
• Source the official previous-close value at the start of each session.
• Poll (or stream) live Nifty data at a sensible interval so the trigger is near-real-time without overloading the data feed.
• Send a clear, single-line email alert as soon as the 1 % threshold is touched the first time in each direction; no repeats unless the market crosses back and trips it again.
• Include a simple way for me to change the percentage level later if I wish.

I’m flexible on the underlying stack—Python with a broker API, Node.js + WebSocket feed, or any approach you’re comfortable with—as long as it runs unattended on my VPS or a lightweight cloud function and I can see basic logs.
