Mindfulness Articles for Seniors

I’m putting together a series of clear, compassionate articles that introduce seniors to the benefits of mindfulness and meditation. Each piece should translate current mental-health research into everyday language, offer gentle, age-appropriate practices, and include relatable examples drawn from real-life situations older adults often face—retirement shifts, changing social circles, sleep issues, and chronic aches.
My aim is to publish these articles online for a general readership, so a friendly, conversational tone is essential. At the same time, accuracy matters; please reference credible sources, cite recent studies where relevant, and avoid medical jargon unless you immediately explain it. Writers with experience in psychology, gerontology, or wellness blogging will probably feel at home here.
Deliverables I need from you:
• 5 standalone articles (800–1 000 words each) focused on mindfulness and meditation for seniors
• A short meta description for SEO (150-160 characters) with each article
• Proper in-text citations and a short reference list (APA or Harvard is fine)
Acceptance criteria:
1. Information is evidence-based and up to date (published within the last five years when possible).
2. Tone stays respectful, encouraging, and accessible to readers 60+.
3. Content passes Grammarly and Copyscape checks.
4. Articles arrive formatted in Google Docs for easy collaboration.
If this resonates with your background and writing style, I’d love to read a brief sample or portfolio link that shows you can speak to an older audience about mental wellness. Let’s make mindfulness approachable for the people who can benefit from it most.
