English-Portuguese Self-Help Book Translator

I need an experienced English → Portuguese translator to handle a steady stream of literary work—specifically non-fiction self-help books. Accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and a natural narrative flow are essential, as the final Portuguese manuscript should read as if originally written in the target language while preserving the author’s voice.

What you’ll do
• Translate full self-help manuscripts from English into Portuguese, maintaining tone, structure, and any embedded exercises or worksheets.
• Proof your own work for grammar, style, and consistency before delivery.
• Meet agreed deadlines and respond quickly to queries during the editing phase.

What I’d like to see from you
• Native or near-native Portuguese fluency plus strong command of English.
• Demonstrable experience translating literary or long-form non-fiction.
• Familiarity with common CAT tools or glossaries (optional but appreciated).
• Your CV, a brief summary of relevant projects, language pairs, and per-word or per-hour rates.

Shortlisted linguists will be invited to complete a brief test passage so I can assess style and accuracy. If we’re a good fit, you’ll join my roster for ongoing projects with a mutually agreed schedule.
