Migrate qTranslate, Upgrade PHP

I’m ready to move my WordPress site from PHP 7.4 to the current stable PHP 8.3, but the legacy qTranslate plugin is blocking the update. I need an experienced WordPress developer who can:

• Replace qTranslate with a modern, well-supported multilingual solution. I’m open to Polylang, WPML, or any alternative you recommend (better if is FREE); I’m chiefly interested in long-term stability and easy maintenance.
• Migrate every existing translation for pages, posts, menus, and categories so no content is lost or duplicated.
• Preserve the language switcher in exactly the same spot and ensure its styling still matches the current theme.
• Test and fix any theme or plugin conflicts that appear after the PHP jump and the multilingual swap so the site remains fully functional on the new stack.

Acceptance will be based on the site loading error-free on PHP 8.3, identical translated content showing across all languages, and the existing language switcher working as before. If you’ve handled qTranslate exits or major PHP upgrades before, I’d love to hear how you plan to tackle the move and how long it will take.
