I am looking for an experienced AWS professional to migrate my existing PostgreSQL database from a Docker container running on an AWS EC2 instance to Amazon RDS PostgreSQL.

The project is a live e-commerce platform built using Angular and Spring Boot microservices. The database contains production data, so data safety, security, and minimal downtime are top priorities.

**Scope of Work**

- Set up and configure an Amazon RDS PostgreSQL instance.
- Select a suitable DB instance class based on performance requirements and budget.
- Secure database access using VPC, security groups, and appropriate credentials.
- Take a verified backup of the existing PostgreSQL database.
- Migrate the database schema and data from EC2 Docker PostgreSQL to RDS.
- Update Spring Boot microservices database connection configurations.
- Verify Flyway migrations and database compatibility.
- Test application functionality, including authentication, products, pricing, orders, inventory, and reports.
- Configure automated backups and recovery options.
- Recommend Single-AZ vs. Multi-AZ based on reliability and budget.
- Provide migration documentation, rollback steps, and a cost estimate.

**Important Requirements**

- Proven experience with AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, EC2, Docker, and database migration.
- Experience handling production databases safely.
- Understanding of AWS networking, IAM, and database security.
- Ability to troubleshoot Spring Boot database connectivity issues.

**Critical Conditions**

- No data loss.
- Do not delete or terminate the existing database until migration is verified and approved.
- Do not make production changes without explicit approval.
- Keep the database private and avoid exposing PostgreSQL publicly.
- Provide a clear rollback plan before switching production traffic.

**Expected Deliverables**

1. Configured AWS RDS PostgreSQL instance.
2. Successfully migrated and verified database.
3. Updated application database connectivity.
4. Backup and recovery configuration.
5. Migration and rollback documentation.
6. Final testing report and estimated monthly AWS costs.

**Please Include in Your Proposal**

- Your relevant AWS RDS and PostgreSQL migration experience.
- Your proposed migration approach.
- Estimated timeline and total project cost.
- Any additional AWS costs or prerequisites.
- Whether you can support production deployment and post-migration troubleshooting.

I prefer a cost-effective, secure, and reliable solution with the option to scale as the business grows.
