I'm looking for a developer to build a custom content management system (CMS) for my business website. I don't need anything as heavy as WordPress, just something clean and simple that my team can use to add and update content without touching any code.
Here's what I need it to do:
• Users can log in with different roles (admin, editor, author)
• Create, edit, and delete pages and blog posts using an easy rich text editor
• A media library to upload and manage images and files¬
• Organize posts with categories and tags
• Save content as a draft, publish it, or schedule it for later
• SEO fields for each page and post (meta title, description, and URL slug)
• Filter content so we can quickly find what we need:
o by author
o by status (Draft, Published, Scheduled)
o by category
o by date (this week, this month, or a custom date range)
• A simple dashboard showing recent posts, drafts, and scheduled content
• A clean public-facing website that displays the published pages and posts
I'm flexible on the tech stack. React with Node.js or Laravel would be great, but if you have a better suggestion, I'm open to it. Both the admin panel and the website should work well on mobile too.
When it's done, I'd like the full source code on GitHub, the site deployed and running, and a short guide on how to set it up and use it. I'd also appreciate a couple of weeks of support afterward in case any bugs show up.
Timeline: Let me know what's realistic for you
If you're interested, please send me a few examples of similar work you've done (CMS projects, admin panels, or blogs), how long you think it'll take, and how you'd split the payment into milestones.
To make sure you've read the whole post, please start your proposal with the word "CONTENT."
Looking forward to hearing from you!
