I’m looking for a seasoned performance-testing consultant who can jump in for roughly one to two weeks (and possibly longer) and push our application to its limits. The immediate priority is to build and run K6 scripts aimed squarely at our API endpoints and backend services, then surface every insight in Datadog.
The traffic model I need is heavy, stress-level load that deliberately seeks the breaking point, not everyday usage. While the tests run, I want Datadog dashboards that highlight:
• Response time and error rates
• CPU, memory, and database consumption
• Traffic volume, slow endpoints, and failed requests
You will own the full cycle: create the K6 test plan, parameterize and execute it, stream the metrics into Datadog, fine-tune useful monitors, and deliver a concise report with clear, actionable recommendations for scaling and hardening the system.
Deliverables I expect by the end of the engagement:
• K6 scripts and configuration files checked into our repo
• A documented test plan outlining scenarios, load patterns, and assumptions
• Datadog dashboards and monitors focused on the metrics above
• A final report summarizing results, discovered bottlenecks, and remediation suggestions
If you thrive on uncovering system limits and presenting data that engineers can act on immediately, I’m ready to get started.
