Project Description
I’m looking for an experienced Jitsi / WebRTC engineer with strong DevOps skills to customize a self-hosted Jitsi Meet platform. You won’t build video calling from scratch. You will deploy it, rebrand it, and add a few key features.

Scope (high level)
Deploy Jitsi on DigitalOcean (EU region first) with our own branding and domain
Web first (works in Chrome and other browsers); native mobile apps come later
Automatic recording of every meeting, saved to cloud storage and deleted automatically after a fixed period
A separate page where approved people can listen to live meetings
A notice and consent step so every participant knows about the recording
Simple admin area for recordings and users

You should have
Production experience with Jitsi Meet, including Jibri
DevOps skills (Docker, Linux, cloud storage, scaling)
Experience with live streaming (RTMP or HLS)
Backend skills (Node.js or Python)

Deliverables
A working platform on our cloud account
Source code in our private repository
Documentation and a short handover
Payment: milestone-based, starting with a small paid test

To apply, please:
Start your proposal with “JITSI-READY”
Share a link or demo of a Jitsi deployment you’ve done
Tell me how you would start recording automatically for each meeting, and how you would handle many meetings at once
Proposals that skip these will not be reviewed. Full details will be shared with shortlisted candidates after an NDA.
